A feminine ironworker was significantly injured whereas engaged on a Lengthy Island Rail Street mission on the Mineola station Saturday morning, the MTA stated.
The unidentified employee was a part of a crew constructing a pedestrian bridge on the station when a crane hit a excessive voltage energy line about 9:30 a.m. The contact “created an arc” to the bridge injuring the lady, who was a contract worker, in accordance with the MTA.
