Forklift exhaust blamed for evacuation at St. Albans store


ST. ALBANS, Vt. (WCAX) – The Man’s Farm & Yard constructing in St. Albans was briefly evacuated on Thursday.

The hearth chief says crews responded to calls of individuals within the retailer smelling propane and feeling nauseous and dizzy.

Hearth officers imagine it was exhaust from a forklift working within the warehouse portion of the constructing.

The chief says the doorways have been open however the blowing wind could not have ventilated that room effectively sufficient, pushing carbon monoxide fumes into the shop.

No one wanted medical remedy. One worker went residence for the day.
