HONOLULU – The Hawaii Division of Transportation (HDOT) is happy to announce that Younger Brothers LLC (YB) has obtained greater than $200,000 in federal grant funds from the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) America’s Marine Freeway Program to buy forklift scales.   That is the primary mission funded by the MH-1 Daniel Okay. Akaka Marine Freeway because it was designated in 2018.

This initiative is a part of the Hawaii Business Harbors System Delivery Companies Mission which goals to enhance security and effectivity for YB inter-island cargo operations.  At the moment, YB’s prospects are chargeable for reporting load weights when checking in cargo, contributing to site visitors congestion main out from YB gates on the HDOT’s business harbors.  The brand new scales will present YB machine operators with real-time weight data when prepping cargo on the port for cargo.
